Privacy Policy
VertiView does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any user data.
What VertiView does
VertiView is a Chrome extension that repositions a video already playing on the page you're viewing into a resizable, zoomable panel. It reads the video element that is already on the page in front of you and changes how it is displayed. It does not read page content for any other purpose, and it does not download, upload, or modify the video file itself.
Data we collect
None. Specifically, VertiView does not collect:
- Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
- Browsing or web history
- Location data
- Authentication information (passwords, credentials)
- Financial or payment information
- Health information
- Personal communications
- Analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking of any kind
How VertiView works, technically
All of VertiView's logic runs locally in your browser. It has no server, makes no network requests, and does not load any remote code. Panel position, zoom level, and pan offset are held in memory for the current page session only and are discarded when you navigate away or close the tab. Nothing is written to disk, synced, or sent anywhere.
Permissions
VertiView requests access to run on the pages you visit (a content script host permission) so that it can detect and reframe a video wherever you happen to be watching one. It requests no other browser permissions.
Changes to this policy
If VertiView's data practices ever change, this page will be updated before that change ships, and the "last updated" date above will reflect it.
